Our Satkhira is famous for this fish. Bagda fish is farmed in Biman area of Bangladesh. Starting from ordinary poor people, many rich people do business. Many people are improving by cultivating bagda fish.
At first small fish seedlings were cultivated in different hatcheries in Bangladesh. Emma farmers bring this fish to the market with water in a small polythene.
These little fish fry we bought are left in our big pond or in the freshwater brackish water. These fish are kept in the water for about two months and are given adequate food.
The fish you see in the picture are known as shrimps. In the picture above you can see the picture of Baghdad fish.
We continue to get different types of traps to catch this fish on two bamboo heads. After fishing we take it to the traders very early in the morning. They buy these fish at a reasonable price. Later this fish was exported from Dhaka to different countries. Our Satkhira is famous for bata fish. If we had an air airport in Satkhira, we could have benefited a lot.
Our only demand to the Bangladesh government is that an airport be built in Satkhira very soon.
