Blacksmith is an ancient profession whose job is to make iron utensils. Mainly Hindus are involved in this profession. At one time blacksmiths made most of the iron tools used in household and agricultural work. Notable among these were da, boti, nail, shovel, ax, knife etc. Among the tools used for farming were plow, plow, weed, weed, etc. Blacksmiths' factories fall under small scale industries. The blacksmith's workplace is called the forge. The coal fire was extinguished with a blow at the barn. The iron is heated in this fire and made of various sizes. Although most of the blacksmiths in Bangladesh are Vaishnavism, some blacksmiths belonging to Shakta religion are also seen.
