Now is the mango season. I think the annual yield which we have in Satkhira has decreased a lot this year. We have so much mango in Satkhira. Having to sell a lot cheaper. Some of our mangoes have been sent to some districts outside Satkhira. We have sent them ourselves. The prices are higher in the districts of Bangladesh which are less. We have some friends in some districts and we are sending mangoes for them.

Chapainawabganj district in Bangladesh is famous for mango. "Kansat Mango Market" is known as the largest mango market in Bangladesh and Asia. Mango is very tasty and in demand in some special places including Makimpur, Chakkirti, Losipur, Jalibagan, Khanabagan.
Mango has been cultivated in the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years. Mango was introduced in East Asia from the 5th-4th century BC and cultivation began much later in the 10th century AD. After the Indian subcontinent and some countries in East Asia, other countries in the world have a climate similar to the Indian subcontinent, such as Brazil, the West Indies or Mexico. Ibn Battuta, a Moroccan traveler, recorded the description of mango in the 14th century.
At present, mango is cultivated in almost all the warmer climates of the world. About half of the mango production is in India alone. Other countries that produce mangoes after this include China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, North-South and Central America, South-West and Central Africa etc. Mango is a very beneficial fruit.
